Following is an invitation to participate in the next District 7430 mission trip to Pereira, Columbia in August, 2010. See Rotarian Lee Nolting for a first hand account of being a mission volunteer.

Rotaplast Mission ~ August, 2010
Pereira, Columbia
Rotaplast International is a non-profit humanitarian organization providing
free reconstructive operations and treatment for children in need worldwide. They provide
long-term solutions by funding and mentoring local physicians; launching public education
projects; and advancing research. Through collaborative programs throughout the world,
Rotaplast efforts expand far beyond surgical intervention and help foster international
goodwill, peace and understanding.
District 7430 has committed to sponsoring a Rotaplast Mission very two years. Over
$80,000 is needed for each mission.
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR NON-MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS
10 non-medical volunteers will be selected for the mission, including the following job titles:
- Quartermaster
- Medical records
- Equipment sterilizer
- Translator
- Photographer/Journalist
- Patient Transporter
- Ward Coordinator
- Recreation therapist
- Recovery Room Helper

**It is the responsibility of the Mission Director to choose his/her team.
Team member responsibilities to the District and to the Mission are as follows:
Support awareness and fundraising of District 7430 Rotaplast Missions for at least 2
years and this includes.......
- Support District 7430 Rotaplast Committee
- Support District 7430 Live TV Auction held annually in December - soliciting
auction items, volunteering during the event
- Presentations at Rotary Clubs and other community organizations, such as
church, scouts, schools, and Interact Clubs etc.
- Airfare for the mission is the responsibility of the volunteer
- Room and board are covered by the Sponsoring District, however there will be some
meals that you will be responsible for
